Senior Investment Accountant - Up to $110k bonus
Philadelphia Insurance organization is looking to add to their Investment Accounting team. This role offers 2 days in office, 3 days remote. Must have investment accounting experience!
Description:
- Supports the recording of general ledger entries across various accounting frameworks for investment-related transactions
- Prepares and reviews monthly management reports for the parent company and insurance entities, addressing inquiries and developing new reporting items as needed.
- Provides supporting schedules for financial statements, including GAAP and statutory disclosures
- Collaborates with outsourced investment accounting providers
- Ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial and management reporting deliverables.
- Assists with internal and external audit requests by preparing necessary documentation and workpapers.
- Understands general ledger workflows across all entities
- Conducts independent analysis to understand the key drivers of investment income, performs variance analysis, and works with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
- Utilizes systems and automation tools to detect anomalies and inconsistencies in reporting.
- Conducts independent research to resolve complex investment accounting matters.
- Develops a deep understanding of investment positions and drivers
- Maintains consistency and accuracy in reporting packages and board materials while leading the development of automated quality-control processes.
- Applies investment expertise
- Leads at least one department initiative annually
- Drives process improvements and workflow enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Leads department meetings and fosters open discussions among colleagues.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Investment Accounting experience
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
