What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Gates Estimator position at FirstService Residential?
Job Overview :
As an Estimator, you will be analyzing repairs and preparing reports to determine the best course of action. This also includes driving to properties locally to provide estimations for new gate services as well as all administrative functions.
Compensation : $26 per hour
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, certifications, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities :
- Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product
- Compiling and recording costs
- Reviewing Preventative Maintenance reports to determine and produce new repair recommendations and proposals
- Follow up on previously quoted repairs and update the system on approved, pending, and denied proposals
- Preparing material and cost estimates for the product or service
- Creating labor estimates for projects
- Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors
- Managing bids from vendors and contractors
- Using data to prepare detailed analysis and reporting
- Presenting prepared estimates to management and other associates within the company
