Job description
FIS Blue, a premier manufacturer, and supplier of fiber optic cable assemblies used in broadcast, government contract, and military harsh environment applications has IMMEDIATE, FULL-TIME FIBER ASSEMBLY POSITIONS at its Oriskany, NY fiber assembly facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow defined procedures to manufacture, assemble, and test fiber optic cable assemblies.
- Operate precision automated and manual equipment.
- Maintain high quality standards and complete quality records.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes and procedures.
- High Aptitude to learn.
- Verbal and written understanding of English.
- Dependable with strong work ethic.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, and lift for duration of shift.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs.
- Manual dexterity & hand eye coordination, including the ability to grasp and manipulate components that are very small to quite large.
IMPORTANT: Wage rate will be commensurate with position, shift worked, experience, education, and required skill level.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
