Job description
FIS Blue, a premier manufacturer, and supplier of fiber optic cable assemblies used in broadcast, government contract, and military harsh environment applications has an IMMEDIATE, FULL-TIME OPENING for a WAREHOUSE MANAGER at its Oriskany, NY fiber assembly facility.
IMPORTANT: Wage rate will be commensurate with position, shift worked, experience, education, and required skill level.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and manage shipping strategies and functions
- Oversee and coach employees
- Enforce and ensure compliance with safety and professional standards
- Complete and submit quality records
- Accurately cut fiber optic cable from master spools and prepare for assembly
- Prepare and package outgoing orders for shipping
- Operate precision automated and manual equipment
Qualifications:
- Strong consideration to candidates with prior bulk cable experience
- Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to follow defined procedures
- Organizational and leadership abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with results driven approach
- Working knowledge of MS office products
Other Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, and lift for duration of shift
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs
- Manual dexterity and hand eye coordination, including the ability to grasp and manipulate various sized components
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
