Outside Sales Representative
Job Summary:
The Outside Sales Representative job is to work under the direction of the President of the company in development and execution of all outside sales efforts. This also includes outreach and the analytics of the campaigns to ensure the success of the campaigns.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages and maintains marketing and sales software. Including the company Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Project management system, and sales system. Ensures sales that close progress from sales to operations.
- Gathering data on campaign success. Studies website and social metrics for performance. Develop customer target list for direct marketing via phone and e-mail. Research for a competitive understanding.
- Assisting with the setup, facilitation and completion of marketing events such as tradeshows.
- Work with part-time graphics designer on overseeing the design and graphics of marketing materials that are engaging and on brand. Assists in creating other marketing content including blog posts, social media posts, newsletters, and e-mail marketing.
- Develop a social media platform and viral video channel for viral marketing. Engage followers on the platforms.
- Work on SDR tasks of a goal of 250 – 500 phone dials per month on outreach calls to potential clients. This includes e-mail follow-ups to those clients.
- Conducting market research to better understand the marketing needs of the organization and its target audience
- Attends regular business events such as chamber and related events to promote business.
- Responsible for self-generating outside new logo business. Main purpose of the position is to research, market, and develop relationships of potential new clients.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable with attending business in-person events and making contacts at those events.
- Proficient in CRM platforms, WordPress, Google Analytics, Adobe Video editing software, and all social media platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- At least 3-years of sales experience with business-to-business sales. An ideal client would be a candidate that performed cold calling, attended trade shows & business events such as BNI, and was in a sales environment such as commercial insurance, marketing sales, facility maintenance sales, commercial banking sales, or related business sales environments.
- Content creator that has developed a viral social media channel.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
