What does a successful Vice President, Legal Operations do at Fiserv?

As a Vice President of Legal Operations at Fiserv, you will play a critical role in managing the daily operations of our legal department. You will partner closely with our legal team to enhance efficiency, drive innovation, and implement best-in-class legal practices. Your leadership will help ensure that our legal operations align with Fiserv's overall mission and strategic objectives. You'll be an integral part of our team, promoting growth and maintaining the high standards that make us an industry leader.

What you will do:

• Lead the operational management of the legal department, overseeing processes, resources, technology, and budgets.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost management within the legal team.
• Manage the selection and performance of external legal service providers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Drive the adoption of technology solutions to streamline legal workflows and improve data management.
• Implement metrics and reporting systems to measure and improve the performance of the legal department.
• Lead and mentor a team of legal operations professionals.

What you will need to have:

• 15 years of experience in legal operations or a similar field.
• 8 years of experience with legal technology solutions.
• Experience working as a legal consultant in the Fiserv legal department
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, or a related field and/or equivalent military experience.

What would be great to have:

• 5 years of experience in a financial technology or financial services company.
• 5 years of experience in process improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma.
• 8 years of experience in vendor management and contract negotiations.
• Certified Legal Operations Professional (CLOP) certification.
• MBA or JD degree.

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island or Washington.
