Receptionist (Full-Time)

Salary Range: $19 - $25 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm and Fridays 8:30am – 12:30pm.
Job Description:
FISH is seeking a professional and friendly receptionist to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our organization, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations in our front office.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet visitors, clients, and customers in a warm and courteous manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls, transfer calls to the appropriate person, and take accurate messages when necessary.
- Schedule and manage appointments, meetings, and conference room bookings efficiently.
- Receive and distribute incoming mail, emails, and faxes promptly. Prepare outgoing mail and packages as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable reception area, ensuring it reflects our company's professionalism and values.
- Provide general information about the company, its products or services, and direct visitors to the appropriate personnel or department.
- Monitor and control access to the premises, issue visitor badges, and enforce security protocols.
- Manage inventory of office supplies, order new supplies as needed, and ensure stock levels are maintained.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and update computer systems or databases as required.
- Operate and maintain office equipment, including printers, copiers, and fax machines.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and organizing documents.
- Accept payments, issue receipts, and maintain financial records with attention to detail.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with various departments to ensure efficient operations.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, or requests promptly and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and safeguard customer and employee data.
- Keep track of schedules, meetings, and appointments for staff members and executives.
- Record and maintain financial transactions, including expense reports and petty cash management.
- Provide assistance in organizing and coordinating company events, conferences, or meetings.
- Update and maintain employee and visitor records, contact lists, and directories accurately.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in using office equipment and computer systems.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles is a plus.
Salary and Benefits:
