Job Description:
This person will cultivate and work with Commercial Bankers on business relationships to achieve business development, client management, and risk management goals. This person is responsible for driving revenue growth by expanding on existing client relationships, leveraging sales and relationship management skills.
Qualifications: This person should have a bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or the equivalent. Experience in lending and credit analysis is required. This person must have financial acumen and be familiar with commercial banking concepts, exhibiting knowledge of market dynamics and industry trends. The ability to manage more than one business client/major initiative while providing exceptional customer service is key. Collaboration with internal business partners is expected. Strong acumen and experience with CRM and loan operating system technology.
Principal responsibilities are to:
1. Drive revenue growth by expanding upon existing portfolios. Consistently meet or exceed business development and client relationship goals.
2. Structure and present solutions and risks to clients and internal stakeholders.
3. Regularly engage with business clients to cultivate meaningful connections through in-depth interviews and perspective sharing. Serve as a trusted advisor, offering expert guidance on products and solutions to enhance client profitability.
4. Frequently review and conduct a financial needs assessment with each client to grow their relationship.
5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to leverage products and services that align with clients’ financial needs and objectives. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Cash Management products and services, skillfully implementing cross-selling strategies to enhance client satisfaction and overall business success.
6. Perform financial analysis for assigned portfolio, seeking out opportunities to offer tailored financial solutions.
7. Apply sound credit judgment to evaluate credit risks associated with prospective clients. Present comprehensive credit proposals, collaborating with credit teams for prudent risk management; ensuring credit quality and optimal loan performance.
8. Monitor in-process loan files for receipt of complete and accurate documentation for underwriting. Prepare quality credit packages for submission to underwriting.
9. Directly manage the annual review process, interim reviews, borrowing base reports, and other specified portfolio documentation.
10. Monitor current loan files and paid loan files to ensure proper maintenance according to established procedures.
11. Keep regularly informed of industry and financial trends, which may impact the Business Banking portfolio.
12. Attend pertinent, loan, team, and business development meetings to actively contribute to decisions impact the Business Banking Department.
13. Act in accordance with FBT policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.
14. Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is between $74,347 and $100,369. This range is a good faith estimate for the position. The actual compensation offered to a candidate may differ based on various factors, including the individual’s relevant experience, training, skills, work location, and other considerations.
