Fishbeck is seeking a passionate civil engineering student for an internship position with our Transportation Department. We are looking for support in our Indianapolis, IN. Primary Functions
- Assist engineers in designing roads, bridges, and other civil / transportation-related projects.
- Prepare design drawings using AutoCAD and / or OpenRoads Designer.
- Work closely with technical staff to provide design calculations for highways, local streets, sites, and utilities, primarily for INDOT and local agencies.
- Interact daily with project teams in a multi-disciplinary and multi-office environment.
- Help solve complex problems by demonstrating practical civil engineering knowledge.
- Assist project managers in managing project deliverables, schedules, and fulfilling client requests.
Minimum Physical Requirements
Occasionally exposed to light lifting, sitting, and walking. May perform duties in the field and will be required to access and maneuver around project sites and use a computer. Capable of traveling to and from projects is occasionally required. Ability to use equipment for communication and documentation purposes. Visual acuity to perform responsibilities.
Desired Education
Enrolled in an Accredited Civil Engineering program
