Primary Functions
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with Contract Documents and approved shop drawings.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and engineers to address constructability issues and handle Requests for Information.
- Participate in owner and construction progress meetings to stay informed and contribute to project success.
- Generate daily reports to keep everyone updated on project status.
- Attend manufacturer start-ups to gain hands-on experience and ensure smooth operations.
Associates Degree or Equivalent Experience in Civil Engineering Technology/Construction
Desired Skills/Experience
- 8 years of previous experience performing construction observation for water/wastewater treatment facilities and/or water and wastewater utilities.
- Experience/familiarity with the following types of work:
- Vertical construction (buildings)
- Cast-in-place concrete
- Process equipment, piping, and valves
- Mechanical/HVAC systems
- Electrical and instrumentation systems
- Underground pipe and conduit construction
- Painting/coating systems
- Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
