What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cabinet Finisher position at Fishcamp Custom?
Fishcamp Custom is looking for a Custom Cabinet Finisher to join their team in Livingston, Montana. This skilled and detail-oriented candidate will be responsible for prepping and finishing the wooden custom cabinets, furniture, and doors in our newly built, fully enclosed spray booth. This role involves surface preparation, staining, painting, and applying topcoats to a variety of woods. Experience in cabinet making and cabinet finishing is expected for this position.

Prior Cabinet Finisher Qualifications and Experience Preferred:
- Proven cabinet finishing experience
- Proficiency in spray, brush or other tool finishing: paint and glazes, water-based finishes, catalyzed lacquer
- Knowledge of various finishing techniques and technology
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication skills, great work ethic, and eager to learn
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Responsibilities:
- Prep cabinets by sanding, filling, and smoothing
- Apply stains, paints, varnishes, lacquers, and other finishes using spray guns, brushes or other tools.
- Mix and match colors to achieve desired finishes.
- Inspect finished products for quality and consistency.
- Work closely with the cabinet makers to ensure an ideal final product.
- Maintain and clean finishing equipment and work area.
This position could be part-time or full-time depending on projects and the candidate’s schedule. We are looking to encourage growth within this position and want an employee who is excited to learn more about building custom cabinets.
Pay: $22 - $45, depending on experience
Shifts: 6:00am – 4:30pm Monday – Thursday, or flexible
