POSITION SCOPE
The Crane Operator must be Certified (CC&O) and able to operate a 60-ton R/T to 300 ton Lattice Crawler according to project specifications to lift, move and position bridge materials and parts/products. Crane Operator also cleans, inspects and maintains crane, cables and hoisting mechanisms and notifies supervisors of defects. This is a full-time, nonexempt, and an hourly position.
The position requires travel.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals
- Assist with setup and tear down of plants
- Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisor
- General housekeeping of equipment and plants daily or as directed by supervisor
- Individuals must be able to lift objects weighing 80 lbs. on a regular basis
- The use of a shovel to move material will be necessary
- Perform all duties within safety guidelines set up by OSHA and company policy
- Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a valid Class A CDL with DOT Medical Card OR willingness to obtain
- Must be CC&O Certified
- Must hold an OSHA Certificate OR willingness to obtain certification - company will pay for certification
- Able to operate equipment efficiently to maintain project specifications
- Team player
- Mechanical knowledge of equipment and being able to perform routine maintenance
- Must be certified and able to operate hydraulic, all-terrain, crawler, and lattice boom cranes ranging from 60 - 300 tons
