POSITION SCOPE
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control Specialist to join our team. The role is critical in managing, organizing, and maintaining project documentation, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in document control within the construction industry and possess strong communication and administrative skills.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Develop and maintain document control processes and procedures for construction projects.
- Organize, track and manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Ensure proper document classification, numbering, and filing in accordance with company and project-specific guidelines.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all project documents and ensure timely distribution.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure accurate document flow.
- Review and verify document accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards.
- Use document management software to store, retrieve, and archive project files efficiently.
- Implement version control and ensure outdated documents are properly marked and archived.
- Support the preparation of reports, logs, and document transmittals as required.
- Assist in audits, compliance checks, and quality control processes related to document management.
- Perform other duties as assigned
