Job Overview
The Professional Tanker Hauler plays a critical role in our operations, responsible for safely transporting aggregates and asphalt to job sites.
As a key member of our team, you will be exposed to diverse situations and equipment while performing your assigned tasks.
Your primary responsibility will be the safe operation of assigned equipment and provision of excellent customer service.
You must conduct regular inspections of your equipment at least twice daily and report any deficiencies to your supervisor or mechanics.
Travel Opportunities
When travel exceeds 50 miles from home base and an overnight stay is required, a generous per diem will be provided to assist in covering costs of lodging and meals associated with travel.
Available tanker opportunities include:
- Belly Dump - Currently dispatched out of Ehrenburg AZ. Willingness to travel required.
- Dump Truck - Local position. Willingness to travel a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to all safety policies and procedures using appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
- Exercise good judgment regarding work site access, unloading, and operation to and from the work site.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment; report defects and repairs required to the maintenance department or supervisor.
- Comply with all DOT, state, and local traffic and highway laws, rules, and regulations, and safely operate all equipment.
- Operate other heavy equipment and other construction-related duties as required.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, adhering to all DOT and company policies, procedures, and standards of safety.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Nightshift and weekend work may be required.
- Extended out of town travel/work may be required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement or the ability to acquire endorsement required.
- Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy.
- Asphalt paving experience preferred but not required. We will provide training.
