Position: Youth Coordinator Reports to Director of Membership
The Youth Coordinator's primary responsibility is to develop, coordinate, promote, and execute Children and Family Activities. As well as ensuring that all activities are achieved and maintained at high standards and within budgetary guidelines. The ideal candidate will be an inspirational role model to his/her team members and is a top professional in the field with a passion for service.
This includes all practices, procedures, training, and Member satisfaction levels. A procedural approach to managing to utilize modern supervision principles as well as incorporating technological innovations where practical to deliver top-quality Member services.

Essential Duties:
- Works closely with the Family Committee and Director of Membership.
- Coordinates and attends Family Committee meetings to assure that Members' needs are consistently addressed.
- Supervises all Children and Family Activities, not otherwise specifically delegated to another standing committee.
- Ensures each activity takes place safely; staff and vendors know the itinerary and follow safety procedures.
- Responsible for addressing children's behavior concerns.
- Interacts regularly with children and families to generate a high level of comfort and trust.
- Coordinates schedules of the Club's Children and Family Activities with Club Directors.
- Works with the Director of Membership, Executive Chef, and Director of Catering on the creation of the Social Calendar.
- Along with the Director of Membership, develops a yearly Children's Programs budget and negotiates with vendors and entertainers to stay within or under budget.
- Tracks the success (performance) of all Children and Family Activities.
- Works closely with the Communications Manager to ensure the promotion of all internal advertising of Children and Family Activities.
- Accurately completes all administrative details associated with Children and Family activities including tracking costs, purchase requisitions, check requests, Member billing, and proper follow-up of the completion of the aforementioned.
- Works closely with the Catering team on coordinating all aspects of Children and Family Activities including decor, booking entertainment, facilitating entertainment contracts and insurance, BEO, floor plans, seating, staffing, etc.
- Maintains an inventory of all games, equipment, prizes, etc.
- Supports Director of Membership with planning and execution of Membership social events and activities to ensure that the highest standards of service, quality, and cost goals are met
- Assists the Communications Manager with ideas for content and event pictures for the quarterly newsletter.
- Supports Membership Assistants at Membership Front Desk
- Keeps constant communication with the Membership Assistants to ensure they are updated on all pertinent information regarding the status of event details
- Recognizes and anticipates Member's and guests' individual needs; shares preferences with all team members, update profiles by recording preferences.
- Ensure all Members and guests are being treated in an efficient and courteous manner and that all Club standards are being applied
- Exercises discretionary judgment in matters of significance at all times
- Associate Degree or Child Development Certification from a two-year college.
- Minimum of 2 years in a full-time supervisory teacher or Youth Coordinator position.
- CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified
- Strong interpersonal, managerial, and leadership skills required
- Strong organizational and time management skills required
- Ability to manage change effectively

- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Experience making presentations in front of groups
