Description
The Technical Support provides Standard desktop support to the faculty, students and staff of the University. Must exhibit the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks within a high-pressure environment using creative problem-solving skills for timely resolution of IS issues.
Essential Skills

Must be able to exhibit multi-tasking skills: troubleshooting, installing, repairing desktops/laptops, a wide range of printing devices, multi-platform mobile devices.

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Imaging devices, including desktops, laptops, and other devices as needed.

Install, configure, troubleshoot infrastructure – server/network devices.

Track hardware inventory, handle any issues and find resolutions for users.

Handle tickets in NinjaOne in a timely manner.

Be highly adaptable and a self-starter.

Work well with different types of management styles

Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Infrastructure technologies, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP, TCP/IP, O365, and Microsoft Entra. Working knowledge of server virtualization technology

Working knowledge of meeting SLA (Service Level Agreements)

Working knowledge of helpdesk software and handles in a timely manner.

Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, Patch Management, Anti-Malware, desktop/laptop imaging, anti-virus, and inventory management tools.

Excellent knowledge of computers (PC, Laptop and Mac) and peripherals.

Outstanding communication skills to team and clients. Ability to motivate the team to adhere IT best practice and deliver outstanding customer service.

Previous experience in IT, customer service, or other related fields

Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

Able to hit the ground running.

Able to pass a background check/drug test prior to starting
Education: Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited College or University.
Experience: Demonstrated experience in student financial aid directly related to financial aid counseling, eligibility determination, need analysis, verification and packaging required. Experience with personal computers and on-line data systems required. CAMS Data System preferred.
