Position Overview :
As an Accounting Specialist , you’ll play a key role in maintaining the accuracy of general ledger accounts, reconciling daily Teller work, and resolving discrepancies. Your efforts will ensure smooth financial operations while supporting internal and external stakeholders with professional communication and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities :
Accounting Functions
Review source documents and record daily transactions.
Balance and post daily write-ups and journals.
Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and Teller work.
Prepare and maintain accurate reports, summaries, and recurring account statements.
Perform corrections, adjustments, and other account-related entries.
Communication & Coordination
Liaise with vendors and suppliers regarding billing and service issues.
Maintain regular contact with team members and management to address discrepancies and provide updates.
Assist with resolving member account discrepancies and charges.
General Duties
Complete miscellaneous clerical tasks such as filing, sorting, and maintaining organized records.
Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well-maintained.
Support special projects and collaborate with other accounting personnel as needed.
What We’re Looking For :
Qualifications :
Education : High School diploma or equivalent. Accounting coursework preferred.
Experience : Credit union or financial institution experience is a plus.
Skills & Attributes :

Proficiency in mathematics and computer systems.
