Fit Recruiting has partnered with a top Gulf Coast CPA firm seeking a 10 year experienced Tax Manager to join its team in Fairhope, Alabama. This full-time, on-site position is responsible for leading the firm's tax practice, requiring a candidate with a thorough understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. We are also seeking someone to be active in the community, promoting business development for the firm.
Base Salary ranges from $85,000 to $110,000 depending on experience performance-based incentive pay. The position also includes health insurance, 401K, PTO, a collaborative work environment, priority on work/life balance, off-work Fridays at 1:00 PM, and firm-supported growth and advancement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is required.
- 10 years of experience in tax compliance and planning.
- In-depth knowledge of tax codes, rules, and their implications.
- Experience in preparing tax returns and researching complex tax issues.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Team leader with effective coaching and mentor skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Experience with Thomson Reuters Ultra Tax and related software is preferred.
- Enthusiasm for community involvement.
