Job Overview:The Front of House Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the front of house (FOH), ensuring exceptional service standards, managing guest interactions, and leading a team of staff to deliver a seamless dining experience. This role requires a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering top-tier customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the front of house, including guest service, reservations, seating arrangements, and customer inquiries.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of servers, hosts, and bartenders, ensuring they provide outstanding service and uphold company standards.
• Oversee guest interactions to ensure satisfaction, address complaints or issues promptly, and maintain a positive dining experience.
• Ensure the dining area is organized, clean, and inviting, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between the front and back of house, ensuring timely service and accurate orders.
• Monitor and manage guest flow, especially during peak hours, to maximize seating efficiency and minimize wait times.
• Implement and enforce restaurant policies and procedures to ensure high standards of service, safety, and compliance with health regulations.
• Handle cash and payments, ensuring accurate cash handling, billing, and processing.
• Maintain inventory of front-of-house supplies and ensure all equipment is in working order.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase business.
• Assist with staff scheduling, payroll, and training initiatives to ensure consistent and high-quality service.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within a restaurant or hospitality environment, preferably in an Irish pub or similar setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest relations.
• Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations with a calm, professional demeanor.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of front-of-house operations, including guest service, reservations, and cash handling.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• A genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
