Five Horizons Health Services (FHHS) is a nonprofit community-based organization that provides high-quality, patient-centered medical, prevention, testing, and case management services across the Alabama Black Belt and East Mississippi.
Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Specialist is a highly professional, detail-oriented, and organized individual responsible for performing administrative duties in support of the following department functions: employment and recruitment; training and development; employee relations; and compensation and benefits.
- Assist in recruitment (job postings, resume reviews, interviews, etc.)
- Manage onboarding for new hires, including employment paperwork, benefit enrollment, tax forms, and I-9 documentation.
- Organize and lead New Employee Orientation (NEO)
- Maintain up-to-date employee records (digital and paper), such as demographic data, evaluations, benefits, pay, etc.
- Manage employee recognition program (i.e. job performance awards, birthdays, work anniversaries)
- Assist employees in troubleshooting HR/Payroll web and phone-based applications (i.e. ADP and Paylocity).
- Create and update department documents, spreadsheets, and trackers.
- Assist in conflict management grievance procedures.
- Stay up-to-date and ensure compliance with labor legislation.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee records at all times.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (required) in Human Resources/Human Capital Management or Business Administration (preferred)
- 1 year of administrative experience
- Proficient in all MS Office applications
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
