An innovative, growing company, we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to play a key role in our fast-growing finance team.
As a valuable addition to our team, you will play an important role in our fast-growing finance team. The ideal candidate is passionate about golf, restaurants or entertainment, and has a strong background in accounting with multiunit setups.
Reports to : Controller
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Monitor revenue and expenses and ensure accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP and established corporate accounting practices.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis to maintain accurate financial records.
- Perform bank reconciliations; research and analyze findings to ensure accuracy of accounts.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Work closely with all departments to understand, correctly categorize, and control costs.
- Work closely with the payroll department to audit tips and hourly wages.
- Monitor spending for all departments to ensure proper purchase approvals and manage spending limits.
- Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
- Work Closely with the AP department to make sure that all payments are issued timely
- Assist with preparation of sales tax filings and other state and local tax reports
- Maintain Prepaid and Accrual Schedules
- Support the Controller in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Perform other duties as assigned.
