What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at CBIZ?
CBIZ is working with a mid-town, NYC food and beverage industry client that is in an exciting stage of growth nationwide! They are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food, hospitality or restaurant industry. They will be a critical member of the accounting team who is responsible for ensuring that the accounting data is accurate and reported, timely and consistently.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all day today accounting functions are performed..
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts and performing balance sheet analysis
- Prepare timely and accurate management accounting reports.
- Assist on preparation of month end and year-end financial statements.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- Min. 5 years of accounting experience
- Able to track multiple work streams, prioritize work, and ensure deadlines are met consistently.
- Proficiency in Excel
- Restaurant industry/Hospitality experience a must
- Sage, Restaurant 365 experience and/or Compeat a plus
