We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst to join our team in Deer Park, NY. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong background in general accounting, cost accounting, and financial analysis—particularly within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee general accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist with cost accounting processes to drive efficiency and profitability.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel (advanced level) to create formulas, automate processes, and enhance reporting.
- Work with ERP systems (Syteline preferred) to manage financial data and reporting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve financial and operational challenges.
- Maintain organization and attention to detail while meeting critical deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting or Finance required.
- 5-10 years of general accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Prior cost accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide quick and effective solutions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
