JOB DESCRIPTION: The Facility Attendant provides exemplary customer service to the public, controls access to Five Oaks on Warson, provides a safe environment and ensures that members and guests adhere to all facility policies and procedures. This position reports directly to the Recreation Facility Supervisor.
SCHEDULE: Currently hiring for the Morning Shift and Weekend Shift. Weekdays 5:15am-8:30am and Weekends 6:45am-10:30am, 10:30am-2:30pm, and 2:30pm-5:15pm. Opporutnity to pick up sub shifts and fill in for extra hours.

PAY RATE: Starts at $15 per hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Open and close City facilities, monitor facility users and event rentals, work with caterers and event contractors, assist with setups for events; enforce on-site rules and regulations, and other duties as assigned.
- Communicate facility policies and procedures to facility users and guests. Maintain a safe and pleasant environment for guests of City facilities.
- Delivers excellent customer service experience for residents, members, and patrons.
- Enforces and adheres to existing policies and procedures and suggests changes in current practices when necessary.
- Promotes Five Oaks services and programs; answers questions and/or directs the public (in person or on the phone) to the proper source of information.
- Gives facility tours for prospective members. Attracts new members and retains current members by maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism for the Department.
- Reports any positive or negative feedback regarding the facility, staff, programs, or department to the Supervisor. Reports any equipment problems or repairs needed to the Supervisor. Completes required reports at the end of shift.
- Find approved substitutes to cover absences whenever possible and inform the Supervisor of the substitution. Notify supervisor as soon as possible of a request for change in work schedule, absenteeism, or tardiness
- Assist with a variety of other programs including youth, adults, seniors, and special events.
- Serve the residents of Olivette and represent the City of Olivette in a professional manner.
- Complete accident/incident reports when appropriate.
- Attends all staff meetings or training sessions as required.
- Assists with special events as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be 21 years of age
2. Some college work preferred
3. Two (2) years of experience in customer service, facility operations, and staff supervision.
4. Certification in American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider and First Aid required within two months of employment.
