Position Overview
Under the immediate supervision of the Accounting Supervisor, performs routine accounting activities, including daily and monthly account reconciliations, accounts payable, posting and verification of financial data.
Essential Job Functions
- Daily maintenance of the deposit accounts managed by Finance
- Performs daily tasks associated with ICS and CDARs products
- Performs Local Agency and other regulatory reporting (FR2900 and FR2644)
- Processing accounts payable (including prepaid and fixed assets)
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Maintenance of records tracking maturity dates and payments due for principal and interest relating to certificates of deposits handled by the Finance area; specifically, Internet CDs and State of California time deposits.
- Daily maintenance of the ICS and CDARs program, including opening/liquidating accounts, processing customer transactions, daily reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Completion of daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations for specified general ledger accounts.
- Completion of weekly and quarterly Local Agency reporting and communication to management as needed on the status of our portfolio.
- Completion of weekly regulatory reporting (FR2900 and FR2644).
- Process accounts payable which includes the review of invoices and expense reports to current expense policy, determination of expense categories, posting to A/P system, printing checks, reconciliation, distribution of payments, year-end 1099 reporting and the set-up of vendors, including ensuring appropriate paperwork is obtained for all new vendors in accordance with Bank policy.
- Responsible for the set up and reconciliation of prepaid and fixed assets.
- Serve as back up for payroll processing.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Proficiency with Excel
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is in regular communication, is required to use various tools or objects, and have the mobility to move about the office. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
