Delivery Driver for Dry Cleaners

You will be responsible for picking up and delivering garments with precision and care, ensuring timely and efficient service. Job Responsibilities

- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport dry cleaning items to and from customer locations.
- Load and unload garments and other items carefully to prevent damage.
- Verify and maintain accurate delivery records, including customer signatures and payment collection when necessary.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues to management when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices.
- Assist with in-store duties when required, such as sorting or tagging garments.

Job Requirements

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with the local area and routes.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and receipts.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to use GPS and other navigation tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 per hour
