An Agronomy Internship with Five Star is a great learning opportunity for students to gain first-hand experience in the applied world of agronomy. Interns will be paired with a senior agronomist in our company acting as a mentor for the spring and summer seasons.
Duties include, but are not limited to: soil sampling, crop stand evaluation, tissue sampling, and distribution of seed, fertilizer, and CPP products to growers, grower customer relations, weed identification, insect identification, disease identification, warehouse management, seed treatment, test plot maintenance, variety sign placement, and other various tasks as performed by our agronomy team.
In this position you will learn agronomy and the cooperative system from the ground up. A considerable amount of time is dedicated to educational opportunities with various industry professionals in the agronomy field.
