Primary Objective of Position
To prepare, document, and effectively communicate accurate and timely quotations for internal and external customers for injection molding profile.
Major Areas of Responsibility
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Prepare accurate and timely customer price quotations. Coordinate information and analysis from Sales and Engineering teams, along with tooling; development; supply chain; and manufacturing to ensure accurate quoting.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally links all critical team members, utilizing a solid understanding of the language of design, project tooling and process engineering, and manufacturing.
- Interact with internal customers on production design, material selection and product specifications.
- Build parts in ERP system to enable manufacturing of the.
- Update’s part records in ERP system based on ECOs (engineering change orders).
- Continuous development of knowledge base in support of extrusion capabilities.
- Gains clear understanding of personal computer software and business operating system; and applies this knowledge to quoting and part building processes.
- Supports Intek Plastics Group policies and procedures and conducts departmental and Company activities in accordance with these policies

Qualifications
Education
- 2 or 4-year technical or engineering degree desired
Experience
- 1-3 years Manufacturing experience in a technical role desired
- Experience with computerized manufacturing systems.
- Familiarity with CAD drafting and design software
- Experience in tooling, plastic development, or machinist preferred
Skills
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excel competency and ability to understand price v. margin concepts.
- Effective listening skills and ability to seek clarification on business and technical issues.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical instructions and procedure manuals including prints.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsibility for Work of Others
This position requires no direct supervision of others
Physical Requirements
- Ability to occasionally lift (weekly) up to 25 pounds and rarely lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, twist and carry tools or materials over the course of 8 – 10-hour shift, while supporting 24-hour/5-day per week plant operations.
- Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Salaried (exempt) employees are expected to work an average of 45 or more hours per week unless otherwise determined by their Manager.
