Human Resources Assistant

We are seeking a highly qualified individual with relevant experience to join our exceptional business office team, where your commitment and experience are valued. The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for helping with the hiring process, maintaining personnel records, updating state and district employment information, health benefits, tracking days off for employees, assisting with annual internal and external audits as required, and other related functions. The successful candidate will be able to produce accurate work in a timely manner while ensuring the district policies are followed. Experience in a school setting desired, but not required. We are looking for the right fit. The position is 32-40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule.
Required qualifications:
- Excellent skills in the following areas: interpersonal, computer (Microsoft Office suite and Google applications a must), communication, good with numbers and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of general office procedures.
- Maine Department of Education CHRC Approval (will be required)
Preferred qualifications:
- Successful experience in payroll, benefits, and/or human resources
- Experience working in a school system Business office
