Fives Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager in the Rochester Hills, MI area. This is a full-time direct hire position. The Sr. Project Manager will be directly responsible for all phases of large scale projects including engineering, industrial construction, and installation.

Job Responsibilities
- Thorough informal communication and regular meetings, ensure of the compliance of their project with schedule and budget.
- Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
- Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
- Support Engineering and Automation in coordination of technical decisions.
- Review project schedules to ensure of compliance and feasibility.
- Monitor progress, foresee potential problems, and when required, coordinate corrective actions with parties involved.
- Monitor regularly purchasing activities and meet with personnel to ensure proper operation
- Review and requisitions to ensure compliance with company standards and policies
- Preparation of necessary information and "Request for Quote” documentation for manufacturing and significant commercial purchases.
- Assist or negotiate directly with suppliers and vendors for high value and/or critical contracts.
- Selection and coordination of manufacturing activities.
- Coordination of resources for Installation and Commissioning.
- Construction related problems (commercial and technical).
- Monitor progress and management of final stages to ensure proper closure of projects.
- This role requires frequent travel to job and customer sites
- Combined 3 years of project management and/or comparable management experience along with a verifiable record of results in both disciplines.
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management, related field. Equivalent experience will also be taken into consideration.
- Experience leading large industrial projects of $50M with a preference of $80M or higher. Industrial capital equipment or industrial construction experience is required.
- Strong technical background that should include knowledge of industrial capital equipment & components and a good understanding of cross-functional responsibilities is required.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment including systems such as air handling, heat treatment, piping, thermodynamics, heat transfer, mass transfer, material handling, and air flow
- Commercial contract knowledge and experience
- Ability to adapt to changes and work with people to overcome challenges
- Professional interpersonal skills (oral & written communication and persuasion skills) to build internal and external relationships. Actively listens, probes and identifies concerns. Understands our core customer's business and speaks their language; Develops credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment.
