What are the responsibilities and job description for the Order & Receiving Analyst position at Fives - Machine Tool Services & Solutions?
Following procedures, this position is responsible for receiving, storing and issuing stocked inventory items for distribution. This position is also responsible to check incoming material against accompanying documents for accuracy, completeness and damage and inputs information into the inventory system. This position keeps stock in a neat and orderly arrangement, fills requisitions, maintains inventory records and does routine reordering.
Scope and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming goods to verify receipt of items against shipping notice.
- Records and checks quantity and quality of goods received for conformity to purchase orders and specifications.
- Inspect, accept, or reject goods received.
- Enter receipts into the on-line computer system (SAP) to determine disposition.
- Allocate demands to appropriate orders.
- Store stock items in the assigned location in or around the warehouse.
- Mark inventory material with proper labeling.
- Fills customer sales orders or production orders, including checking stock locations for items, retrieving the items, generating documentation for delivery of the orders.
- Communicates and coordinates with appropriate buyer returns, rejections and credits.
- Processes “drop shipment” notices through on-line computer system (SAP) from buyers. Makes sure part is received to the correct purchase order and assigned to the appropriate order.
- Review and process customer sales orders, generating packing slip and picking list using the on-line computer system (SAP).
- Communicate with sales department to prioritize what orders are shipping. Respond to special handling requests for various orders from within the organization.
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience:
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fork Lift Truck Training, Stock Picker Training
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge with the Inventory software and Order processing systems.
Salary : $45,000 - $50,000
