What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Sourcing Manager position at Fives North American Combustion, Inc.?

- Strategically develop business processes and relationships that deliver quality products that improve the company’s capacity and capabilities
- Utilize standard project management tools and summary documents to track and communicate status of work performed
- Participate in the development of the goals and objectives of the company
- Responsible for all aspects of the company’s outsourcing strategy
- Work with business partners to identify and drive the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) process improvements for cost reductions. Familiarity with Procurment Engineering and Value Engineering concepts required.
- Partner with all other business groups pertaining to sourcing and procurement including, but not limited to, Quality, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Purchasing and Logistics.
- Provide regular project status information to team members, including attending required meetings and follow up on open action items
- Identify and manage performance improvement dependencies and critical path concerns
- Assist in establishing the rules and methods of assessing existing supplier performance and the selection criteria for new supply chain partners
- Translate the company strategy into vision and communicate the vision to all stakeholders
- Organize and lead meetings with all required stakeholders
- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, provide interpretation and analysis of contract documentation and review requests for revisions that involve technical specifications, costs and / or schedule impacts that mitigate risks to the company
