In this role you will function as the Subject Matter Expert in the field of Ergonomics for all new product launches at Spring Hill Complex located in Spring Hill, Tennessee, as part of the Manufacturing Ergonomics Execution team. You will be identifying manufacturing ergonomic issues and working with a collaborative team of people to design and validate solutions. The collaborative team you will work with may include Industrial Engineering, Product Design Engineers, and / or Manufacturing Engineers. In addition to Ergonomic technical knowledge and experience applying Ergonomic analysis tools, you will need strong communications skills, the ability to work in a team, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Summary :
The main function of a manufacturing process engineer is to direct the development and / or improvements of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Job Responsibilities :
- Propose and evaluate manufacturing process and equipment for assigned areas.
- Meet plant goals and standards in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Coordinate the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment in supporting SPQRC initiatives.
- Evaluate expenditures for processes and / or equipment.
- Provide technical assistance and training for assigned plant operations.
- Works closely with production and maintenance personnel and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Analyze tooling and equipment and select proper steps for solution.
- Communicate with internal and external business units.
- Support plants in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost goals.
- Function as the Ergonomic subject matter expert for all new product launches.
- Per our process, conduct Ergonomic analyses & evaluations as needed for new parts, operations, material containers, and / or manufacturing assist tools. Interpret these results and provide solutioning recommendations.
- Track and manage all Ergonomic concerns and issues and drive issues through the issue resolution process.
- Communicate status of all Ergonomic issues to the plant Ergonomics team as well as the Global Ergonomics team.
- Participate, as appropriate, in specific ergonomics initiatives / projects as needed.
- Provide timely written reports and updates on specific ergonomics projects.
- Other contributions as required.
