Fives North American Combustion, Inc. is hiring a permanent, full-time Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team in Cleveland, OH.

• Strategically develop business processes and relationships that deliver quality products that improve the company’s capacity and capabilities
• Utilize standard project management tools and summary documents to track and communicate status of work performed
• Participate in the development of the goals and objectives of the company
• Responsible for all aspects of the company’s outsourcing strategy
• Work with business partners to identify and drive the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) process improvements for cost reductions. Familiarity with Procurment Engineering and Value Engineering concepts required.
• Partner with all other business groups pertaining to sourcing and procurement including, but not limited to, Quality, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Purchasing and Logistics.
• Provide regular project status information to team members, including attending required meetings and follow up on open action items
• Identify and manage performance improvement dependencies and critical path concerns
• Assist in establishing the rules and methods of assessing existing supplier performance and the selection criteria for new supply chain partners
• Translate the company strategy into vision and communicate the vision to all stakeholders
• Organize and lead meetings with all required stakeholders
Lead contract negotiations with suppliers in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, provide interpretation and analysis of contract documentation and review requests for revisions that involve technical specifications, costs and/or schedule impacts that mitigate risks to the company

• 7 years in outsourcing job shop work including sand/investment castings, machining of castings and fabrication & welding of both carbon steel and stainless steel materials
• Strong technical knowledge of machine tools and the capabilities of how materials are processed
• Strong track record of developing existing and new global supply chain partners including process documentation
• Strong knowledge of problem solving and process improvement methodologies
• Experience with implementing Lean Manufacturing Processes and Practices
• Experience developing project timelines including all required tasks including identifying critical path tasks
• Ability to communicate and interact with personnel at all levels of the company and all external stakeholders
• Bi-lingual - English and Spanish preferred
Bachelor’s degree in business, applied science or engineering field required
