Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: 12 Night Shift: 7pm-7am Position Purpose: The Security Supervisor is responsible for supervising, assigning, and evaluating the activities of security officers. What you will do: The supervisor may be assigned to a specific shift and may also need to work flexible hours and manage various projects according to the needs of the department. If assigned, the supervisor may be responsible for the administration, troubleshooting, evaluation, and training related to security technology systems. The Security Supervisor manages and trains security officers who patrol and respond to security incidents. The supervisor regularly communicates and provides coordination with law enforcement officers and fire department officials and provides emergency assistance as needed. The Supervisor have frequent interactions with patients, visitors, volunteers, and staff and ensures thorough incident reports are completed and disseminated as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Qualifications: HS diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree, military experience, or 2 yrs of collegiate courses in criminal justice or related field preferred. Florida State Security Guard License required. Driver's license required. A minimum of 3 years' experience required. Supervisory experience preferred. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Computers. Fire Safety. Basic Supervisory Skills. Basic Training Skills. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Generally agreeable working conditions in pleasant, clean, working environment. Frequent walking and standing; some stretching, bending, and light lifting or carrying, usually not sustained. Ability to physically restrain threatening individuals and/or arresting violators.
