Position Summary: Level One: A Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards and specifications throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves conducting detailed inspections, both in-process and final, to verify that parts and components meet aerospace industry requirements. The Quality Inspector will be involved in evaluating raw materials, finished products, and verifying compliance based on customer specifications. They will utilize precision measurement tools, visual inspections, and non-destructive testing methods to detect defects or inconsistencies.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
- All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable Company policies and procedures.
- In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of Company policies and procedures, employees are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives.
- Constant ongoing training to achieve the requirements of the job including:
- Reading job traveler for specifications such as material, type, and size of stock, and dimensions
- Obtaining and transferring stock to machine by forklift
- Measuring work for conformance to specifications.
- Inspect Forgings visually and dimensionally
- Marking and identifying data on workpieces.
- Steel Stamping letters and numbers on work piece by Hilty Gun Tool.
- Complete inspection reports
- Material Verification
- Receiving Inspection
- Load and Unload Trucks Raw material
- Work in Forge Shop environment
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to correctly to inspect material.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
