Flagger Force, an industry leader in traffic control, is currently hiring a Safety Professional for our Western MD/Western PA market.
The Safety Professional is primarily responsible for evaluating and observing work sites, responding to incidents, and supporting the implementation of injury management plans as well as safety programs while acting in accordance with company values, vision and mission.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor performance of safety and quality programs to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
- Operational assistance including Final Incident Reports (FIRs), pre-cons, and client feedback
- Review assigned facilities for general safety, including fire, and emergency procedures
- Development content for safety programs and assist with execution
- Complete daily activity report and submit daily reporting
- Perform incident investigation as required
- Participate in incident investigation review with management as required
- Assist in the development of post incident lessons learned and training materials (i.e. FF Learn content)
- Compile, maintain, analyze and report incident, audit and safety statistics
- Assist and support RISK department projects and process improvement
- Anticipated 70% of time spent in the field
- Conduct, attend and participate in various department meetings as necessary
- Participate in Safety and Fleet policy development
- Maintain valid internal training certifications Other duties as assigned by Safety Manager

- Bachelor’s or associate's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Safety or related field or equivalent work experience
- Maintain valid internal training certifications through Flagger Force Academy
- Must hold all required Department of Transportation qualifications for assigned territory
- Valid driver's license in accordance with Flagger Force motor vehicle record standards
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage time effectively Ability to manage high stress scenarios and environments
Preferred Education and Experience:
- One (1) year(s) experience with Flagger Force and/or similar traffic control knowledge
- One (1) year(s) experience with state and federal traffic control guidelines (i.e., Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices)
- Demonstrated experience with fleet safety driving practices/systems
