Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains and secures the agencies’ procurement records both electronically and in hard copy;
- Develops and maintains quality relationships with vendors doing business with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office;
- Recommends goods for purchase by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office ;
- Assists with maintaining an ongoing inventory of uniforms, badges of office and rank, supplies and equipment of the Office of the Sheriff, ensuring it meets the up-to-date requirements;
- Receives ordered goods and inspects them on arrival to ensure they are of the proper quality, fit, and finish to meet the standards set by the agency.
- Conducts an annual inventory of items issued to employees and as required by Florida statutes and accreditation policies;
- Controls and records the issuing of uniforms and appropriate items of personal equipment and supplies;
- Assists with maintaining and organizing the inventory of equipment, supplies, and uniforms associated with the on-the-job training conducted by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office;
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from High School or possession of a High School Equivalency Diploma recognized by the State of Florida AND EITHER:
- Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Public Finance, Business Administration or a closely-related field (Preferred); OR
- Two (2) years’ experience in a progressively responsible experience performing similar work; AND
- Must have a valid State of Florida Drivers’ License.
Special Selection Criteria:
- Must have the ability to respond to urgent requests that may occur during holiday(s), night(s) and weekends;
- Must be able to pass a background check;
- Must be able to pass a drug screen;
- Must be able to lift and handle packages as necessary ;
- Experience with Fishbowl, SAP, Munis and/or QuickBooks (preferred).
