Essential Functions
- Supports functions of Flagler County Senior Center offering congregate dining and activities to develop social interaction among Flagler senior citizens.
- Service delivery to meet compliance standards established by the Department of Elder Affairs Program and Services Handbook.
- Works at a high level of accuracy in reporting required programming data.
- Inform orders to maintain food and supply inventory.
- Conduct day-to-day operations and activities of congregate meals site - includes facility and meal preparation, coordinating with Site Leader and volunteers, and related tasks to support the smooth operation of the center.
- Enter accurate statistical information relating to units of service and other required program reporting data into My Senior Center, in a timely matter.
- Provide related referrals to case managers for action in serving the seniors’ needs.
- Successful completion of 701B/C assessment training for certification under the Florida Department of Elder Affairs.
- Covers Flagler County Senior Center operation as assigned to include all related duties.
- Maintains a high level of dining site cleanliness and neatness to meet all applicable health, fire, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Provides enough time for all participants to eat a leisurely meal and encourages maximum socialization among participants.
- Must be an active participant in program activities to include but not limited to light exercise, and other health support programs.
- Coordinate with Site Leader, Senior Service staff and HHS Admin. Assistant in preparation of a monthly Senior Center activities calendar and meal plan, ensuring its copying and distribution.
- Maintain, distribute and document approved Nutrition Education materials as outlined monthly by the Nutrition Consultant and/or Site Leader and/or Senior Services Program Manager. Presentations at Flagler County Senior Center will be a minimum of 15 minutes to meet compliance standards.
- Maintains client confidentiality, including handling of client files according to HIPAA requirements and shredding of sensitive client documents as prescribed by organizational policy.
- Maintains volunteer reporting requirements for completion of required reports and related distribution.
- Provide accurate statistical information relating to units of service, provide units service report to Site Leader and Senior Services Program Manager on a weekly basis and/or as requested.
- Serves as courier for department as required.
- Collects and compiles ongoing paperwork necessary for tracking documentation as assigned.
- Participates in all training presented by the Flagler County Emergency Operations Center relating to disaster and/or hurricane training. Participation will include assignments as applicable during an actual event.
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, seminars, conferences, and training as required.
- Performs related work as required.
- During emergencies, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Computer literate to include but not limited to Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, database-driven programs.
- Must have work history in a detailed-oriented position.
- Must possess a valid State of Florida Driver’s License.
