What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Technician position at Flagship Communities?
About the Role
We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Lawn Technicians. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the exterior appearance of Flagship Communities by performing various landscaping tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
•Empty trash, shovel, and perform maintenance or repair duties using blowers, mowers, drills, or other hand tools.
•Ensure lawns are manicured appropriately, which includes regular weed control, weed whips, raking leaves, planting flowers/shrubs, spreading mulch/woodchips/stones, trimming shrubs and hedges, cutting and removing tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, and other lawn care services as necessary.
•Regularly inspect irrigation systems to ensure they are working properly and make repairs as needed.
•Pick-up trash and debris from common areas and streets daily and empty common area trash containers as needed.
•Maintain community equipment and report any issues or concerns identified while performing daily duties to manager.
•Ensure the community adheres to Flagship Communities' curb appeal standards and is presentable at all times.
•Operate vehicles safely for job-related purposes and follow established safety procedures.
Requirements:
•High School diploma (some HS education required)
•Previous lawn care experience in the resort/hospitality industry, preferred
•Demonstrated knowledge of general grounds maintenance techniques and broad experience in the field
•Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work
•Valid driver's license
•Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
•Ability to provide legible written reports
•Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
•Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
