What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regulatory Compliance and Recertification Strategist position at Flagship Property Management, SC, LLC?
The Housing Recertification Manager will conduct the annual and interim recertification processes for residents within our affordable housing portfolio. This role ensures compliance with South Carolina State Housing Finance and Development Authority (SC Housing) regulations and other applicable federal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure all recertification processes comply with SC Housing regulations, including those outlined in the Compliance Manual and other program-specific guidelines.
- Process Management: Oversee timely and accurate completion of annual, interim, and initial recertifications across the property portfolio.
- Audit Preparation: Conduct regular audits of resident files to ensure accuracy and readiness for compliance reviews by SC Housing and other agencies.
- Agency Liaison: Act as the primary contact for our housing client and other regulatory bodies concerning recertification matters.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on recertification metrics, compliance status, and other key performance indicators.
- Policy Development: Assist in developing and updating internal policies and procedures to align with current housing regulations and our client guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in affordable housing compliance or property management, with a focus on state housing programs.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of South Carolina's affordable housing programs.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Appfolio, Yardi, RealPage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
