POSITION OVERVIEW

At Flagship Restaurant Group, social media is more than just beautifully plated dishes and perfectly pressed napkins. We’re redefining how hospitality brands engage with their audience online by showcasing authentic experiences, stories, and feel-good moments that keep our guests coming back for more.


As our Social Media Marketing Specialist, you’ll be the creative force behind our social media presence – taking charge of managing and creating content for all Flagship Restaurant Group concepts that speaks to our diverse audiences while capturing the essence of each of our restaurant’s brands through written and visual storytelling. This role will help develop and execute forward-thinking social media strategies for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn platforms that grow and foster our community, spark engagement, and show off the personality of each of our restaurants. You will also dive into performance metrics, identify what’s trending, utilize various social media tools, conduct influencer research, craft on-brand social media copy, and keep us ahead of the curve on all things social. This position will report to and collaborate with the Social & Digital Media Manager while leading our social media interns as the role evolves.


THE BEST FIT FOR THIS POSITION IS SOMEONE WHO:

  • To put it simply: lives, laughs, loves social media.
  • Has 2-3 years of experience managing social media for brands, preferably in the food, hospitality, or lifestyle industries and has a strong understanding of social media best practices, trends, and emerging platforms.
  • Has excellent written and visual storytelling skills with a passion for capturing or enhancing a brand’s personality through social media content.
  • Loves to collaborate but can multitask, prioritize, and work independently to complete tasks.
  • Is passionate about keeping up with social media trends, industry conversations, and competitor activity (both restaurant and otherwise) to keep content fresh, relevant, and ahead of the curve.
  • Has a strong ability to plan, create, and identify social media content that disrupts industry standards.
  • Is confident in making strategic social decisions based on overall marketing goals and isn’t afraid to go “too big” with your ideas.
  • Knows how to write copy that can tell a story that connects with our audiences. 
  • Enjoys engaging with a community by responding to comments, messages, and social reviews in a timely and on-brand manner.
  • Can effectively communicate ideas and feedback to internal and external photographers, videographers, interns, and influencers as they assist in developing high-quality visual content.
  • Has an openness to experimenting with new content formats, tools, and strategies to drive growth, increase engagement rate, and foster community.
  • Enjoys monitoring social media performance and can report on organic content performance while providing insights and recommendations to improve overall marketing strategies.
  • Never wants to stop learning and is always looking to enhance their social media skills, learn new tools, and improve continually.


ADDITIONAL THINGS WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Experience with Sprout Social, Canva, CapCut, native social platform reporting, and other social media tools.
  • An up-to-date understanding of social media strategy and the latest social media channels.
  • You bring ideas to the table and get fired up about bringing them to life.
  • You’re not afraid of being the grammar police but are willing to break a rule or two if it speaks to our audiences or makes sense with a piece of content.
  • You’re self-motivated and know how to project manage yourself. If something urgent comes up, you’re comfortable with pivoting and adjusting as needed.
  • You truly enjoy social media and find joy in getting inspired by others via social media in your free time.
  • You’re creative AF but social admin work doesn’t scare you.
  • You’re organized and pay attention to the little details that matter.
