Responsibilities
- Maintain a suite of instrumentation for materials synthesis and characterization (e.g. XRD, SEM, etc.)
- Develop and monitor support systems for instrumentation, including vacuum pumps, thermal management, and exhaust
- Perform, or schedule with a vendor, periodic maintenance
- Work with the data management team to establish a tracking system for instrument maintenance and early detection of instrument failure
- Work with the automation team and instrument scientists to establish and document instrument calibration routines
- Assist with execution of calibration routines and instrument operation in general, as needed
- Analyze, report, and present findings of experiments to the FL96 research team
