Overview
The Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce Foundation has an immediate opening for a part time, experienced Executive Director to lead our organization towards achieving its mission and strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, grant writing and management, business development/fundraising, along with exceptional leadership qualities. This role requires a visionary leader who can effectively manage resources, interact with community leaders and Chamber member investors, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the relatively new Foundation.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction towards growth and transformation of the Chambers 501(c)3 in alignment with its mission and purpose.
- Initiate and manage new grant opportunities and business workforce programs
- Develop long term plan ensuring efficient resource management and growth
- Direct and execute successful events including STEM after school enrichment and other youth development opportunities.
- Lead business development efforts to identify new opportunities for partnerships and funding throughout the community.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with stakeholders to further organizational goals.
- Monitor Chamber Foundation industry trends and best practices nationally to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, community leaders, and business and public sector partners.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
Skills
- Proven experience in managing small scale projects or initiatives that impact the community
- Strong grant writing and grant management skills
- Demonstrated expertise in business development
- Strategic planning capabilities, with a focus on long-term organizational success.
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage contracts and stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage diverse audiences.
