Position Summary

 The position will ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse functions, working along and in support of the supervisor and warehouse manager. The position will be responsible for understanding the processes within the warehouse to perform in any function based upon needs as well as helping drive improvements in support of the warehouse functions.  

Essential Functions 

• Operate powered industrial truck in a safe and efficient operation and follows all OSHA and plant safety processes.   

• Performs all essential driving functions to safely transport goods, such as maneuvering truck into loading and unloading rack positions, including tight spots without damaging equipment or product.  

• Performs all daily safety inspections of powered industrial trucks prior to operation. Reports all safety issues with trucks to be taken out of service for repairs.  

• Ability to use pick sheets and read production schedule to verify proper materials needed at line. 

• Ability to perform proper and thorough trailer inspection to ensure food safety and product safety, including completing the form and signing.   

• Ability to efficiently pick orders for internal and external customers without error and meeting the efficient standard of completion.  

• Effective scanning of all product and verification of information matching the product is verified. 

• Maintains proper rotation of products with the warehouse and use in production.  

• Reports necessary maintenance work orders needed for facilities.  

• Performs all activities required to secure load for transport (including proper loading. stacking within trailer to meet stability and DOT weight restrictions).  

• Operator will be responsible for efficient use of time and will help others or find needed completed tasks when time presents itself.  

• Perform cycle count process to ensure inventory accuracy. • Able to use SAP to search inventory issues or locations to answer questions or provide support. 

• Ability to perform shipment documents. 

• Ability to perform the various roles within the warehouse as needed for coverage. 

• Investigate forklift incidents in regard to equipment damage product damage and reset forklifts when supervisor or warehouse manager is not available. 

• Acts in a way supporting the supervisor or warehouse manager and helps ensure follow through on needed actions and tasks within the warehouse.  

• Report any equipment and product damage in a timely manner consistent with plant processes.  

• Maintains high levels of housekeeping and sanitation in and around work areas and complies with all GMP requirements and master sanitation program.  

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications (Education/Experience) 

• High School Diploma or equivalent. 

• Must have valid forklift certification. 

• Must have 1 – 3 years of experience using a Forklift. 

• 2 years continual minimum job-related experience. 

• Strong computer skills including knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office and preferably SAP experience. 

• Food Safety, PCQI, HACCP Certification or acceptable experience recommended.
