Controller

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the accounting team, developing financial strategies, and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making processes. This position requires strong leadership abilities, excellent analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles.

Pay Range:

• $60,000 - $120,000 annual salary, depending on qualifications and experience.

Location:

• This is an in-person position based in Saint George, Utah.

• Monthly travel to Central California is required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is required.

• A minimum of two years of experience in an accounting management position is required.

Software Proficiency Requirements:

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the following software:

• Microsoft Excel

• QuickBooks

• Smartsheet or comparable CRM

• Payroll software

Financial Reporting Requirements:

Applicants must have the knowledge and experience to generate and manage the following financial documents and reports:

• Professional profit and loss (P&L)

Statements

• Professional bookkeeping statements

• Payroll reports

• Recorded expenses and projected

Expenses

• Recorded revenue from sales and projected revenue from sales

• Cash flow statements

• Asset and liability tracking

• Break-even analyses

• Tax preparation and accrued tax filing

• Sales forecasts

• Budgets and tracking

• Accounts receivable and accounts

Payable

• Financial ratios (e.g., current ratio, debt-to-equity ratio)

• Historical financial data analysis

Additional Desired Skills and Traits:

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

• Clear communication skills to effectively present financial data to stakeholders.

• Experience in managing or mentoring accounting teams is a plus.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the relevant industry.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
