This is a part time, seasonal position beginning this June 2025, in the Philadelphia, PA area
We are searching for dedicated people to take portrait, and candid photos during fast-paced college and high school graduation ceremonies during weekdays and on weekends. We are also looking for experienced photographers that have solid organizational and leadership skills that could potentially serve in a role with expanded responsibilities.
Scheduling for our seasons is done months in advance so it is easy to coordinate with any other jobs you may be working. We provide ALL equipment and training and there is no editing involved.
Photographers can expect to make $125-$150 per ceremony. Ceremonies are typically a four hour time commitment and some of our bigger schools will have multiple ceremonies in a day.
IMPORTANT: These are formal events and our photographers are required to dress accordingly. All photographers will be expected to dress in business professional attire i.e. dark colored suit, dress shirt, dress shoes, and ties for men. You must possess and maintain these items and present yourself professionally at all times.
Essential Duties
- Take high quality portrait and candid photographs in a consistent manner in accordance with company procedures and standards
- Setup and breakdown of the photography equipment
- Other pre-event duties as needed
- Communicate with team members to ensure all duties and objectives are completed
- Treat equipment with care
- Represent Flash Photography® in a professional manner before, during, and after the ceremony
Job Requirements
- Must meet dress code requirements
- Photographers must be able to perform essential duties listed above
- Ability to maintain concentration in a distracting environment
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Ability to stand and move around without assistance for 4-5 hours
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to communicate schedule availability in a timely manner and fulfill scheduled commitments
- Must arrive to events on time and stay for duration from setup to breakdown
- Must be able to interact with high school and college graduates, staff and faculty in a professional and appropriate manner
