Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Belding, Michigan, Flat River Group, LLC is a leading end-to-end ecommerce partner that works with vendors to take their businesses to the next level by accelerating ecommerce sales growth. We sell a variety of product categories as a 1st Party Seller, including toys, games, pet, sports & outdoor, home and patio, lawn & garden. Flat River Group has experienced incredible growth over the years, and we now have four US-based distribution facilities. 

We’re seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Summer Intern in the Planning & Forecasting team. Our 12-week program offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the ecommerce and retail industries by working closely with multiple departments within our organization. As an Intern in the Planning & Forecasting team, you will contribute to various projects and initiatives, gaining hands-on experience and valuable skills in planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities:
●    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data related to ecommerce and retail operations.  
●    Assist in developing and implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels, sales forecasts, and product assortments.
●    Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the ecommerce and retail landscape.
●    Participate in meetings and presentations to share insights and recommendations with internal and external teams.
●    Prepare a capstone presentation to present to executive team members.

Required Skills and Abilities:
●    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
●    Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
●    Work well with others across multiple cross functional teams, both internal and external.  
●    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel). 
●    Tableau experience is a plus.
●    ERP or Advanced Planning systems experience is a strong plus.

Education and Experience:
●    Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Other fields of study will be considered.
●    Junior or Senior year of degree program but would consider a lower classman depending on experience. 
●    Interest in ecommerce, supply chain management, retail, or a similar field .
