Job Overview:
The Program Manager supports Flat River Outreach Ministries by overseeing the coordination and administration of all aspects of new and ongoing programs including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities. The Program Manager position is full-time and reports directly to the Executive Director of FROM.
General Job Duties:
Lead, manage and hold accountable all staff and volunteers supporting programs and services
- Ensure that all program volunteers receive an appropriate orientation and training to the programs
- Supervise program staff and volunteers by providing direction, input and feedback
- Participate in organizational strategy and prioritization discussions as part of the Leadership Team
Develop & Manage Programs and Services
- Plan the delivery of all programs and their activities in accordance with the mission, vision, and values along with policies and procedure
- Develop new services or programs to support the strategic direction of the organization
- Develop with Executive Director an annual budget and operating plan to support the programs
- Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcomes of the program
- Develop forms and records to document program activities
- Oversee the collection and maintenance of records on the clients of the program for statistical purposes according to the confidentiality/privacy policy of the organization
Foster Community and CountyPartners
- Leverage community, county, state, and federal resources to maximize local resources and avoid duplicating services
- Identify and cultivate partnerships for program development and continued service improvements.
Housing Case Management
- Support tenants of Main Street Housing (a wholly owned subsidiary of FROM) in goal setting and progress towards those goals
Tenant Relations Team
- Lead tenant relations team to develop and finetune policies for Main Street Housing
Oversee & Assess Program Statistics, Metrics and Outcomes
- Develop a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure data through surveys or other means that enables evaluation of program effectiveness
- Identify, develop, and conduct focus groups to further understand needs and how to address them
Develop digital interactive content for website
- Provide Advancement Team with necessary information for website, social media and other external communications
Lead programs, as needed
- Communicate with clients and other stakeholders to gain community support for the program and to solicit input to improve the program
- Liaise with other managers to ensure the effective and efficient program delivery
- Coordinate the delivery of services or program
- Provide direct case management services and resource referrals
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Social Work or another Human Services field; Master’s degree preferred
- 5 years of experience as a social worker or case manager (10 years minimum without degree)
- Proven experience in social service program management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software
- Good planning & organizational skills
- Able to work independently and manage time well
- Attention to detail
- Excellent relationship-building and empathy skills
- Ability to adapt to changing situations as part of a team
- Experience as a supervisor preferred
- Able to lift and carry 30 pounds
- Some weekends and evening hours required
