Summary
The Program Manager (PM) will lead the implementation and operations of a residential energy efficiency program. The PM will drive program success by meeting energy savings goals while leading an internal team, managing relationships with external partners, and liaising with utility clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in program management, a passion for clean energy, and a commitment to delivering impactful energy efficiency solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Program Leadership & Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential energy efficiency program, ensuring the achievement of energy savings targets and successful project execution. Provide strategic direction to drive program performance, track progress, and ensure milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Financial & Performance Management: Own portfolio-level budgeting, financial tracking, and performance reporting. Monitor energy savings results, manage costs effectively, and ensure the program meets or exceeds client and utility expectations. Identify areas for continuous improvement and implement cost-effective solutions that drive program success.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with utility clients, contractors, and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with program goals and client satisfaction. Communicate regularly with both internal and external parties to ensure timely updates and resolve issues efficiently. Foster strong relationships to drive the success of clean energy initiatives.
- Team Management & Collaboration: Lead and manage a field team, ensuring effective collaboration and clear communication. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments such as Marketing, Finance, Data, Engineering, and Talent Management to ensure resources are aligned and programs are properly supported.
- Reporting & Analysis: Develop and deliver regular status reports, track program KPIs, and assess program outcomes against set targets. Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Clean Energy Advocacy: Promote and support the broader mission of clean energy solutions. Stay informed on industry trends, policy changes, and emerging technologies that could influence program strategies and outcomes. Advocate for sustainable practices and drive energy efficiency within the residential sector.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience in program management and at least 3 years of leadership experience.
- Strong financial acumen with proven experience in managing budgets and financial reporting.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization and with external clients.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on achieving results in a timely manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret data for informed decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and interest in the clean energy sector, particularly with utility conservation programs or energy efficiency initiatives.
- Experience in outreach, marketing, or business development within the energy or sustainability sectors.
- Experience working with income-qualified customers and understanding their unique needs.
- A graduate degree in business, environmental policy, or an energy-related field.
- Knowledge or certification in Lean Six Sigma principles and/or PMP.
